  Men Too May Suffer from Domestic Violence

  Nearly three in 10 men have experienced violence at the hands of1 an intimate partner during their lifetimes, according to one of the few studies to look ____1____ domestic violence and health among men.

  研究者向被調(diào)查對(duì)象詢問(wèn)了有關(guān)生理虐待和非生理虐待的問(wèn)題,如對(duì)其生命安全的恐嚇,控制行為(比如告訴他們能與誰(shuí)交往,不能與誰(shuí)交往,哪些地方能去,哪些地方不能去),以及經(jīng)常性的謾罵與中傷。

  年齡在l8到54歲的男性中,有14.2%的人坦言,在過(guò)去五年間經(jīng)歷過(guò)親密伴侶的暴力行為.而在過(guò)去一年就經(jīng)歷過(guò)的人占6.1%。

  而年齡在55歲及以上的男性,這一百分比有所下降。分別為5.3%和2。4%。

  總體而言,55歲以下的男性中有30.5%稱(chēng)自己曾是家庭暴力的受害者,而在55歲及以上的男性中,這一比例為26.5%。他們經(jīng)歷的家庭暴力約有一半為生理虐待。

  然而早前的研究表明,男性所受的生理虐待不如女性所受的嚴(yán)重,40%的男性稱(chēng)自己受到了嚴(yán)重的生理虐待,而女性比例則為61%。

  研究人員發(fā)現(xiàn),遭受過(guò)家庭暴力的男性與沒(méi)有遭受過(guò)的男性相比,有更多的情感和精神方面的問(wèn)題,這一問(wèn)題在老年人中尤其明顯。
